You should buy this game, it's worth your time. It's just not worth your money at this price point. Wait for a sale that offers about 30-50% off the full price.I really want to up vote this game, but unfortunately I can't. It's fun, it's just not great if you compare it against other tycoon games selling at the same price point. The problem is that there are so many other tycoon games on the market, and Rescue HQ feels a bit more like early access as opposed to a fully released game. There are bugs, and the graphics and animations are really basic.I think all of this could have been excused if the developers decided to sell this at a lower price. As it stands, this is in the same price bracket as Two Point Hospital. That has better graphics, better animations, better sound, more depth, and is better optimised in terms of performance.I can list loads of tycoon games that are comparable in quality to this one, but none of them costs as much.. Its a great game and full of different things to do, building took some time to get used to but once you got a hang of it everything was a breeze. The tutorial explains everything in full detail and helps get you set up. I wish there is a sandbox mode right off the bat as thats the type of stuff I like to do without worrying about money and such but I read the dev said they are working on bringing that in a future patch. I sadly had to refund the game for personal reasons but plan on purchasing it again soon. Thanks dev and good work!. As a fan of the genre, I really want to give some quick feedback that can make this game better. I love what I played so far. I have more than 2 hours of the game (you CAN get the feeling with 2 hours in-game, I tell you), which if you really played, you got the hang of it (and the feeling). And no, I did not see all vehicles, offices, etc. But that is exactly why I want to give the feedback now.Recommend: Yes, but with some notes. Is it fun: oh yes, if you like tycoon games. If you are looking for rescue simulation (true one), than maybe not, but worth the try.Overall- I played in all modes a bit, but mostly on the beginner one, since I want to explore.- Even the first one you have some nice challenges, kudos (managing money, emergency points, etc).- Sometimes the game hangs for a few seconds, looks like it is loading something, mostly when changing turns or receiving missions back.- The way you unlock vehicles, equipment, etc, is nice enough, but I believe this is where it lacks a bit of explanation or even more freedom. The most annoying partIf you unlock something before the right time, that's it, you will have a hard time receiving those points again. Example: you want to unlock the Riot Gear, which costs 600 points (this is not money). But before that, it unlocked for me some nice stuff in the kitchen, which costs 200 points. I had 600 points before, but I spent 200, now I have 400 ... and to make 200 points it takes some time. This is the part what I feel is the most annoying part. I think it is good to have the unlock system, it shows challenge. But how about showing me all of the options before I buy something?Because some of those items does NOT show at all before you even have the points, so I did not know it exists before. This is a bit frustrating, cause I did not know and I committed a mistake, but it was not my fault (and there is no turning back, unless you load a previous saved game). Not boring, but not fun tooAt the beginning, all maps have a region that you need to buy to unlock... ok, cool. But if I want to manage all my spaces again, since it is a bit of micro-managing spaces (just the building spaces), I really don't feel comfortable doing all over again (changing bathroom all again, because it got too small, but changing all again is not really nice to do). So, this is hard to explain, but building is fun, until it isn't, LOL.All in allI like the game, will keep playing and will give a nice review on Steam too. It is a different game from what I saw about emergencies games, which I think it is very nice. I don't think those negative points are some kind of game breaker, it is just I could have even more fun if those changes were made, but I feel it was mostly a game design choice than a bad testing =)If you have some feedback too on top of mine, let's discuss, I want to explore different ways of creating my rescue base =). aye thats pretty good. Well.. first crash to desktop happened about 5min into the tutorial map when pressing ESC. Now the game doesn't start anymore, just crash to desktop without even an error message.. Gonna request a refund. It's a nice mix of managing resources and watching the little fellows do their work. The building mechanic is really intuitive and accessible. There a several types of emergencies to handle, and the story is fun. All in all - a nice tycoon game!. I would recommend this game, but I'm a sucker for management games. So I have to admit a small bit of bias. >.> I like that its really easy to move things around the base so moving a room doesn't have to be expensive. I find it challenging, in a good way. There isn't a true sandbox mode yet. Dev's have stated they are working on it. A sandbox mode with cheats on the workshop already. The dev's themselves are very mod friendly which is nice. The main gripe I have is its really hard to tell if you have enough money for the weekly budget check. Dev's said they're working on a way to make it more friendly.. I'll be honest, I'm refunding this game, not because it's bad, in terms of a finished game, it's good, there's not a lot to criticise, but it's just not for me. Since this isn't early access, I'll review it as a finished \u00a320 game...It's got the Theme Park Hospital feel for it, so I'd imagine it'd be a great game for anyone who wants a casual bit of fun. But I found it's just always going to frustrate me. Limited sized maps make the game more about trying to squeeze everything in, rather than taking time to enjoy laying everything out for efficiency. Sending out your staff on missions becomes a bit tedious, you've either got the kit or you haven't and there's not a lot you can do about it if you don't, so for the most part you're ticking boxes and hitting dispatch. The game tries to add extra depth with finances and research, but money seems to grow on trees and never really becomes an issue. There's also no real visible effect of positioning lockers on the other side of the map so staff have to run from miles away. Overall, it just feels like it's lacking a serious edge that I'd want in a tycoon game. Very fun and enjoyable game.
